Jessica O’Shea began dancing at the age of 3 at Donna’s Dance Studio under the direction of Donna Daly Blyth, where she had many performance opportunities including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (Cork Opera House), The King and I (Cork Opera House) and Sleeping Beauty – Children’s Chorus (Cork City Ballet). She studied there until leaving for college at 18. Jessica went on to study at Chichester College in England under the direction of Irela Strachan, where she obtained her ISTD Diploma in Dance Education in Ballet and Modern. Whilst there she also studied for her HNC in Performing Arts. Jessica graduated as a fully qualified dance teacher in 2016 and moved back to Cork. She has been teaching and choreographing since.
She is a staff member of CADA Performing Arts, where she teaches various styles of dance, as well as in primary schools around Cork and she also teaches ballet at Plan Be Movement Studio.
Jessica spent most of her childhood dancing in the Cork Opera House Panto, so looks forward to returning to Panto as an adult at The Everyman this Christmas.
