From the age of 7 Phil O’Callaghan trained, danced and performed with Donna’s Dance Studio in Cork City under Donna Daly Blyth, Meghan Blyth and Sue-Ellen Chester-MacCarthy. Donna trained Phil and presented him with amazing opportunities and structure to lead a successful career.
Phil began his professional dance training at Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa (CSN) Cork, directed by Jane Kellaghan and Aisling Byrne. He was awarded a place at the Institute of the Arts, Barcelona where he trained for his BA (Hons) in Dance. After graduating from college, Phil went on to work and perform in Disneyland Paris. He also worked on The MSC’s Bellissima cruise ship where he performed and travelled around the Mediterranean for 6 months.
In 2018, he returned to his hometown to perform in the Pantomime Cinderella at The Everyman, and again in 2019 when he was ensemble dancer and dance captain in The Everyman’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Last summer, Phil performed in Disney’s sequel movie Disenchanted, which will be released in 2022.
Phil has now returned home to be a part of this year’s Panto as Ensemble Dancer and is super excited to be back working with such an amazing cast.
