Dónal McNinch began his career in theatre working for the Cork Opera House. From 2005 until 2014 he worked as a lighting technician including one year abroad when he worked for the Malt House Theatre in Melbourne Australia. In 2014, Dónal took on the full-time position of Deputy Chief LX, Cork Opera House.
Dónal has also worked with an array of Irish and English theatre companies. These include Wexford Festival Opera, Grange Park Opera, Opera Theatre Company, Corcadorca Theatre Company, Conflicted Theatre Company and Irish National Opera. Dónal worked as production manager on The Everyman’s production of Autumn Royal (2016).
