About

Presented by Kilmeen Drama Group
Tue 21 – Wed 22 Apr

Ballyturk is Kilmeen Drama Group’s entry in the All-Ireland Drama Circuit for 2026.

Described as gut-wrenchingly funny and achingly sad, and featuring jaw-dropping moments of physical comedy, Ballyturk is an ambitious, profound and tender work from one of Ireland’s leading playwrights.

Trapped in a small room, two people pass the time by vividly inventing and performing the lives of an imagined town, using storytelling as a means of survival. As the games grow darker, they are forced to confront mortality, authorship and the unspoken rule that one of them must remain.

Experience the best amateur drama at The Everyman.
