Amy Ní Fhearraigh

Amy Ní Fhearraigh recently made her Royal Opera House debut in the lead role of Least Like the Other at the Linbury Theatre: “a breathtakingly disciplined Royal Opera debut… How impressive, within weeks of 2023, to see so totally finessed a performance from a young rising star.” (The Arts Desk, David Nice)

The production was the recipient of an Olivier Award nomination for Best New Opera 2023. She returns to the Royal Opera House Covent Garden covering a role in their 2023/24 season.

This season she made her role debut as Jemmy in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell where she was “quite the show-stealer in both acting and vocal ability” (Andrew Larkin, Bachtrack), and as Elisabetta in Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda both with Irish National Opera, “She attacked her arias and the ensemble scenes with real energy, making full use of her versatile and powerful voice which soared effortlessly above the orchestra and chorus” (Alan Neilson, OperaWire).

Amy is an alumna of the INO Studio 2018-19. She is under the tutelage of Dutch soprano Hanneke De Wit.
