Gina Moxley is an award-winning Irish writer, actor and director.
Her first play Danti-Dan, produced by Rough Magic in 1995, won the Stewart Parker Award and recently toured Ireland in a production by Livin’ Dred. She has written for companies such as Pan Pan, CoisCéim, Fishamble, Cork Capital of Culture, Controvento and National Connections UK. Her most recent play The Patient Gloria, which she also performs in, has had hugely successful runs at St Ann’s Warehouse, New York and Brighton Festival. Previously presented at the Abbey Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe where it won a Fringe First and Herald Angel, the show toured in Ireland in spring 2023.
Recently seen in Endgame at the Gate Theatre, Gina has performed and toured extensively with companies such as Pan Pan, Rough Magic, Dead Centre and Tim Crouch to festivals in Europe, Asia, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Her plays are published by Faber and Oberon.
In 2020, Gina was elected to Aosdána.
