Darragh Shannon is a proud Cork native and a graduate of Kinsale Drama before going on to The Lir Academy, where he earned a BA Honours Degree in Acting. Having grown up in the vibrant cultural landscape of Cork.
His previous theatre work includes performances at some of Ireland’s most prestigious venues, with credits such as Tartuffe at the Abbey Theatre, Piaf and The Steward of Christendom at the Gate Theatre and Hamlet with Volta Theatre (Wexford Opera House).
Closer to home, he has appeared in Macbeth with Red n’ Blue Theatre (Cork Opera House), Asking For It (Landmark Productions and The Everyman), Here’s a Penny (Cork Arts Theatre), and Humans: A Robot Musical (Graffiti Theatre).
On screen, Darragh is set appear in the upcoming drama Tall Tales & Murder (BBC / RTÉ). He has appeared in SisterS (RTÉ / AMC) and the film Wolf.
