About

Presented by Trafalgar Theatre Productions
Written by Brian Foster
Tuesday 13 – Wednesday 14 October

From London’s West End and the four-time smash-hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, Myra’s Story is the tour-de-force performance that you’ll never forget.

This incredible story depicts a day in the life of middle-aged, homeless, alcoholic, Myra (played by the acclaimed actor Fíonna Hewitt-Twamley), sleeping rough on the streets of Dublin. While begging from passers-by at her regular spot by Ha’penny Bridge, Myra recreates her rollercoaster backstory.

Playing a cast of larger-than-life Dublin characters through her “vivid, virtuoso performance” (WhatsOnStage), Hewitt-Twamley plays out all the hilarious, serious and heartbreaking events in her life that have taken her to this pitiful state. It’s a powerhouse performance with a powerful message.

Hailed as an “outstanding play” (Broadway Baby) and having captivated over 250,000 theatregoers across Ireland, the UK and North America, this remarkable story will make you laugh, cry and above all, ensure you’ll never forget Myra.

“Fionna Hewitt-Twamley is extremely impressive” – The Irish Times
