Join The Everyman Sunday Songbook team and guest narrator Michael Grennell for a celebration of Tom Jones’s brilliant career.
With over 100 million record sales, 36 top 50 hits in the UK and 19 in the US, proud Welshman Sir Tom Jones – mentor (The Voice UK), heartthrob and performer – has been at the forefront of music since he exploded onto the scene in the 1960s. Once described by the New York Times as a “musical shapeshifter [who could] slide from soulful rasp to pop croon, with a voice as husky as it was pretty”, what sets him apart is his sensational stage presence and vocal prowess, encompassing everything from pop, R&B, show tunes, country and dance to soul and gospel.
Join The Everyman Sunday Songbook as they tell his life story and sing some of his most iconic hits, including ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘What’s New Pussycat’, ‘Delilah’, ‘She’s a Lady’, ‘Sex Bomb’ and ‘The Green, Green Grass of Home’.
