Live at The Everyman
Alan Kiely, Kevin Connolly and Seán Óg Ó Duinnín bring their new bilingual musical, Tuairín Dubh, to The Everyman.
Is ar eachtraí ó Chogadh na Saoirse a bhaineann go háirithe leis an gceantar sa bhliain 1920 atá an scéal bunaithe. Tugtar radharc faoi leith ar dhúnmharú Chriostóir Ó Luasa, na leoraithe péint, Cumann na mBan agus mórán eile sa scéal.
July 1920. As the Irish War of Independence rages around them, the IRA and Cumann na mBan of Ballingeary successfully ambushed two military transports on the road to Kéimaneigh. The subsequent reprisals at the hands of the Auxiliaries from Macroom left the country in shock.
A tale of sacrifice, heroism and bravery, Tuairín Dubh is a new musical drama written by Alan Kiely, Kevin Connolly and Seán Óg Ó Duinnín. It tells the story of young Volunteer Christopher Lucey and his comrades and their fight to win Irish independence.
The best amateur drama The Everyman has to offer.
“Tá iliomad ‘banger’ sa cheoldráma seo agus beidh siad á gcanadh ar fuaid Mhúscraí go ceann i bhfad, shamhlóinn!” – The Corkman
“Ón gcéad radharc go dtí an ‘finalé’, bhí Tuairín Dubh snásta agus ceolmhar.” – The Corkman
