James McKeon has recently published two books: a novel entitled The Spy-Catcher’s Wife and a memoir, Life is Funny. He wrote Frank O’Connor: A Life, a biography of his literary hero.
He is a regular contributor to newspapers including The Echo and the Irish Examiner and his writing has been published extensively in America, including the New York Times and the Washington Post.
He has been involved in Cork theatre all his life as actor, director and playwright. He has a life-long passion for early 20th century Cork history.
