Catch the electrifying When Ireland Rocked live in concert at The Everyman for one night only.
Marking the huge musical revolution in Ireland of the late 60s, 70s and 80s and the birth of a new sound, When Ireland Rocked celebrates how a new generation of electric guitar driven music inspired so many and paved the way for those who followed.
The show honours a time when Ireland rocked the world, celebrating the songs of iconic Irish rock acts and artists and the enormous musical footprint they left behind: Thin Lizzy, Horslips, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, The Boomtown Rats, Stiff Little Fingers, The Undertones, Mama’s Boys, U2… The music resonated far and wide, energising the youth of Ireland and inspiring future generations of musicians to follow.
Focusing on this golden era, it pays homage to these bands, musicians and their songs. Featuring the virtuoso guitar and fiddle skills of Pat McManus, formerly of Mama’s Boys and Celtus and one of Ireland’s last living true rock guitarists and traditional musician legends, as well as outstanding vocals by Cormac Neeson of The Answer and a supporting cast drawn from some of Ireland’s finest musicians.
