The Everyman strives to produce and present engaging, educational and thought-provoking programmes for people from all walks of life!
Theatre-Making and Citizenship Cork – Young People (TMACC – YP)
The Everyman working with YMCA Cork with the support of the Abbey, Cork ETB Youth Services, Creative Ireland and Cork City Council Arts Office
The Everyman has been running a dedicated engagement programme for young people since spring 2021. Theatre-Making and Citizenship Cork is a collaborative youth-led programme where young people are introduced to theatre through conversation, engagement and creation.
Participants are supported to become theatre makers themselves through the workshops they will explore writing, devising, designing, technical craft and performance, as well as engaging with live theatre and performance.
At the heart of this project is the role of theatre and how young people can shape the future of accessible theatre in Ireland.
“It was an excellent experience! It’s fun and interactive in the best way. Perfect for all types of young people!” – TMACC participant – summer 2024
Applications for spring 2025 are now open. Click the button below to fill in the form.
The spring 2025 programme will run for 10 FREE sessions on Wednesday afternoons (2–4pm) from 22 January. Facilitators include Kel Menton and Hanan Sheedy.
The Everyman Young Company (TEYC)
This programme from The Everyman is for young people from Cork aged 18–25, who want to make theatre.
You might be too old for youth theatre or drama classes, or just want to give it a go for the first time. You might be interested in acting or writing, stage managing, directing or design. You’ll do a bit of everything and start to make theatre together as a group.
“TEYC was a great project to be a part of. It has opened doors for me and I’ve met loads of lovely people. If you’re interested in theatre, don’t hesitate to apply!” – TEYC participant – spring 2024

The spring 2025 programme will run for 10 FREE weekly sessions on Tuesday evening (5–7pm) at The Everyman from 14 January. Facilitators include Des Kennedy (Artistic Director), Donna O’Keeney and Fiona Lawton.
