Fionula Linehan

Fionula Linehan is a much-in-demand versatile performer with a penchant for comedy.

Favourite performances include The Factory Girls (Ellen), described by the play’s renowned writer, Frank McGuinness, as “perfect” in the role, Philadelphia, Here I Come (Auntie Lizzie), A Skull in Connemara (Maryjohnny), Bold Girls (Cassie), Lovers (Hannah), Relatively Speaking (Sheila), Sexy Laundry (Alice), Sisters (Martha) and in the world premiere of Ger FitzGibbons’s one-woman play The Hairdresser’s Calendar, which he wrote with her in mind to play the part.

Fionula has voiced many radio plays and adverts and starred as Mrs Tilly Tolly for the Tilly Tolly series for RTÉ Jr Radio.

Film and TV credits include The Young Offenders (film and series 1 and 4), Along the Hemline, Banshee and Home Truths.

She is a drama teacher with CADA Performing Arts and loves working with the stars of tomorrow, honing their creativity and talent.

Before falling in love with theatre she studied martial arts for many years and holds two black belts in Shotokan Karate.

Having performed in The Everyman Panto for over twenty years, she considers it a home from home and looks forward to another season of cheers, boos and “he’s behind yous”.
