Pat Fitzpatrick is a writer, broadcaster and comedian based in Cork.
His writing career started with the Sunday Independent, doing features and first-person columns.
He has since moved to the Irish Examiner, where he writes the agony-aunt column, Ask Audrey, along with a parenting and TV review column.
His career took a turn in early 2020 when he posted a short video from the South Mall that started with the words, “Hello old stocks, my name is Reggie.” This video got a positive response and not just from his mother. Reggie was born and is still posting and boasting about his 5.2 million euro mansion on the Blackrock Road, not to mention his tenure as President of the Captains of Cork Industry (COCI). In April 2022, he co-produced his first one-man show with The Everyman, An Evening with Reggie, which had a rerun in October 2022 due to popular demand.
Pat is a regular on RTÉ’s Today Show, where he reviews other TV shows and gets tips on impersonating Kerry men from presenter Daithí O’Sé.
He has written a number of books, including 101 Reasons Cork Is Better Than Dublin, which sold very well in Cork.
Pat is happily married (even though he’s originally from Kinsale) and lives in East Cork with his wife, two kids and at least one cat.
