Gary Keegan is a theatre maker, producer and dramaturg based in Dublin. He is co-artistic director of Brokentalkers.
His most recent work includes Manifest (Project Arts Centre), The Boy Who Never Was (Dublin Theatre Festival), Masterclass (Winner of Fringe First Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2022), Woman Undone and The Circus Animals’ Desertion (Dublin Theatre Festival) and This Beach (Munich Kammerspiele / Tiger Dublin Fringe). Other productions include Have I No Mouth (Total Theatre Award Winner, Edinburgh Fringe 2013), The Blue Boy (Grand Prix Winner, Kontakt Festival, Torun) and Silver Stars, all of which have toured internationally.
Gary has over 15 years’ experience as a teacher and facilitator specialising in contemporary theatre practice and socially engaged performance. He is the former Artistic Director of Dublin Youth Theatre. Gary also teaches a course in creative engagement at the Lir Academy, Dublin.
As a dramaturg, Gary has worked on productions with Junk Ensemble, THEATREclub, Talking Shop Ensemble, Chaos Factory and Louise White.
Gary is a mentor on the Festspillnn Talent Norge programme for emerging artists in Norway.
