Presented and produced by The Everyman, Matched, Every Man’s Guide to Campaigns of the Heart by Ger FitzGibbon, blew away the January blues!
Inspired by Chekhov’s much loved one-act comedies The Bear and The Proposal, Matched was a light-hearted, and entertaining look at one woman’s trials in trying to find (and hold on to!) a husband.
Set in one of Ireland’s Big Houses in the early part of the 20th century, audiences enjoyed a night of comical misunderstandings involving debts, duels, land, livestock and love!
★★★★ “FitzGibbon’s light touch, Healy’s finely judged transformation from landowner to servant, Wylde’s hair-trigger changes from scorn to simper, and Kavanagh’s double act from hypochondriac to dragoon are a delight” – The Irish Times (Read full review HERE)
“FitzGibbon, who also directs the play, and his excellent cast, have created an extremely entertaining piece” – Irish Examiner (Read full review HERE)
