Molly Lynch trained at Cork School of Music and then at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She sang in choirs, conducted by Alan Cutts and John O’Brien, in the School of Music as a child and went on to study singing with Mary Hegarty. After graduating from CSM, Molly went on to do her MA in Music Theatre in London.
She made her professional West End debut in Sweeney Todd, starring Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson, at the English National Opera and then played Chava in Fiddler on the Roof at Grange Park Opera and at the BBC Proms. She was stand-by for Katherine Jenkins in the role of Julie Jordan in Carousel at ENO, directed by Lonny Price, and played Betty in Sunset Boulevard at Curve and UK and European tour. Molly played Cathy in The Last Five Years at the Garrick Theatre, an actor-musician production that transferred to the West End from Southwark Playhouse.
She is most proud of being from Cork though and is excited to be back up on a stage that she loves so much.
