Spliced (2019)

"A powerful piece of physical theatre" - The Scotsman

About

Presented by Chalk It Down Productions in Association with The Everyman
5 – 9 NOV 2019

Spliced is a raw and real one-man show that came to 5 GAA Clubs in November 2019.

Honest, brave and hard-hitting, Spliced is a visceral account of a young man’s struggle to become an individual outside of the sporting institution that raised him. The play deals with identity, masculinity and mental health in the clubs at the heart of Irish communities.

“Timmy brought his one man show to Cuala GAA Club, where he received a standing ovation. His take on the world of GAA was insightful, hard hitting, comic, energetic and very thought provoking. In reality we did not know what was in store, but after the show there were calls by all attendees to have the show brought back so we can have more members and players share the experience. And we will!”
Damian McKeown, Cathaoirleach, Cuala GAA

“Explosive one-man show … this intense production fearlessly tackles Irish masculine stereotypes … One to watch” – Sunday Times

“Creed’s reconstruction of himself is honest and fascinating and he is calling for a new kind of masculinity” – BritishTheatre.com (Read the full review HERE)
